Covestic is looking for a SQL Server Developer to help rapidly design and implement a web service. The web service will track testing results and performance metrics for a new application/service being launched by one of our key customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing the database solution and developing the appropriate coding to enable the necessary data manipulation and reporting. To be successful, you will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment using a rapid prototyping approach.


Experience - External:
- 5+ years working in a software development role.
- Demonstrated ability to design SQL databases and write stored procedures.
- Solid understanding of ETL protocols.
- Experience building web services.
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 x64, IIS 7, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Microsoft Visual Studio 9, C# (preferred; C++ accepted if necessary)
- Working knowledge of BI concepts. Experience in general data analysis e.g., information mapping, performance trending, scorecards, monitoring/alerts, etc....
- Proven ability to work in rapid prototyping mode.
- Good interpersonal skills - Works well in a team environment and interface with numerous stakeholders
- Excellent organization and coordination skills.
- Independent and self-motivated
- Very strong consultative, communication, and writing skills
